My work starts as an image caught through the lens of a camera, so in that respect you could call me a photographer.
But I would like to challenge that label. I consider myself to be a visual photographic artist, and the Nikon F3 film camera and Nikon D810 SLR are just tools to create the opening paragraph to the story I wish to tell.
A photograph can break the confines of reportage. It can be considered a piece of art in its own right.
